Dwarfed by his art
4th Generation winemaker Chester d'Arenberg Osborn is dwarfed by one of the biggest wine casks in the Southern Hemisphere. The cask is an old brewery cask that was sourced from Germany when d'Arry was first setting up the winery.

The lengthy process of sampling individual barrel samples prior to blending
A Lengthy Process
At d'Arenberg small parcels of fruit, often from small individual parts of our vineyards, are treated exclusively. Theyre all fermented separately and matured separately and we keep them apart until the very last moment, when we marry them at the blending stage. This means a lot of tasting for our winemaker Chester Osborn, here he is tasting over 60 individual barrels of Shiraz
